I started playing violin when I was 11 after studying piano for several years. I was selected for prestigious programs with Congress of Strings, Indiana University HS Music program, North Carolina School of the Arts Summer Italy Tour Program - and as a concerto soloist with the Lincoln Youth Symphony. Accepted into both Eastman School of Music and Indiana University for college, I chose Indiana University for the diversity of majors offered. I ended up working full-time in high tech leading marketing - while continuing to play on the side. I am now able to focus on making music as my main career.
I currently play with the Georgia Philharmonic Orchestra and the Johns Creek Symphony Orchestra as a section violinist. I have also played with the Piedmont Pro Musica orchestra, the Lanier Chamber Singers Orchestra and the Michael O'Neal Singers Orchestra. This past year, I played in the pit of a 10-show musical, performed numerous times for area churches, was hired for a few recording and video projects, rehearsed regularly with three string quartets and provided performanes with all three groups, played in several weddings, etc.
I LOVE dogs (well, really all animals) and have two of the cutest mini aussiedoodles on the planet (if I say so myself).
